Five Republicans are vying for the chance to challenge Sen. Tim Kaine (D) in November. Leading the pack in fundraising is retired U.S. Navy captain Hung Cao, who made an unsuccessful bid to unseat Rep. Jennifer Wexton (D) in 2022. Scott Parkinson, who served as an adviser to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) before he was elected, is just behind Cao in the fundraising race. Other candidates include attorney and author Jonathan W.
